Varming Consulting Engineers were recently appointed by O’Connell Mahon Architects as Energy Efficient Design (EED) Expert, in accordance with IS399:2014, associated with the upgrade and extension of the Radiology Department at Mercy University Hospital, Cork.

The project consists of the extension of the footprint of the MUH Radiology Department to allow for an optimal clinical working environment for all staff and the upgrade and reorganisation of specialised services within the MUH Radiology Department in an effort to compliment patient flow and experience.

The EED role is to ensure the project exceeds statutory requirements in all aspects of sustainability and achieves the highest levels of environmental effectiveness possible within project constraints and result in the most advantageous Life Cycle Cost outcomes.

 The Project is due to commence in April 2018 and compliments our extensive successful experience in the Healthcare and Sustainability Sectors.
