Varming Consulting Engineers were recently appointed by Panelto Foods as Building Services Engineers associated with the Design and Site Monitoring of the new extension to existing Commercial Bakery for Panelto Foods, Longford Business & Technology Park, Ballinalee Road, Longford, Co. Longford.
The project consists of the design and construction of a new 4,700m² Commercial Bakery extension to the existing facility. Panelto Foods plan to more than double the existing production level achieved in their correction facility producing 4 tonnes of product per hour.
The extension consists of an automated production line which takes the raw material ingredients all the way to finished product, freezing the product, packaging and transportation. The building consist of various areas such as fermentation area, pre dough area, mixing area, production line, commercial oven area, cooler area, freezer area, packaging and transportation area.
Mechanical services installation consists of the upgrading of the existing site wide LPG gas services infrastructure, ventilation services via various air handling units including run around coil installation to improve energy efficiency, air conditioning services, water services, chilled water services, compressed air services, steam services and soils and waste services.
Electrical services installation consists of upgrade works to the existing site MV installation, LED lighting & emergency lighting services, power & general services, fire alarm services, security & CCTV services, data services and associated electrical site services requirements.
The Project is due to commence in October 2017 and will be competed in July 2018. This project compliments our extensive successful experience in the food industry sector and with clients such as Cuisine De France and Ornua Co-operative Ltd.
